Dura Supreme was founded in 1954 by Don Stotts, working out of a garage in Minnesota. It stayed in the family through his son Keith, and today it builds out of a 200,000 square foot facility in Howard Lake with more than five hundred employees.
Seventy years is a long time to keep making furniture-grade cabinetry in one place. It matters because a made-to-order cabinet is only as good as the consistency behind it: the same joint, the same finish, the same tolerance, on a run that arrives months after it was drawn.
We became an authorized dealer because the cabinetry survives the part of the job nobody photographs: it arrives square, it fits the drawing, and it still looks right a decade later.
Traditional American framed construction, at home in a 1920s Tudor or a Colonial as easily as in a new build. The collection most of our Birmingham and Bloomfield work uses.
Full-access construction inspired by European cabinetmaking, optimised for interior space and clean sight lines. Ranges from classic through to high-gloss modern.
Painted, stained and natural finishes across a wide door range and multiple wood species. Color and grain are chosen from physical samples in our studio, because color on a screen is not color.
Vanities, pantries, mudroom lockers, mantels, bars and built-ins. The same line carried through a house is what makes a whole-home renovation read as one project.

Which is why we publish full kitchen ranges by tier rather than quoting cabinetry in isolation.
Each run is built for your project after the design is finalised. That is what allows cabinetry to be drawn to the wall instead of assembled from the nearest available widths with filler covering the difference.
Crestwood's framed construction suits the period houses that make up most of our work. Bria's frameless build gives more usable interior and a cleaner face where the architecture calls for it. We specify for the house, not by default.
Doors, finishes, hinges and interior fittings live in our design studio. Choosing cabinetry for a six-figure renovation from a brochure is a false economy for everyone involved.
Built-to-order cabinetry is usually the long pole on a kitchen project. We order once, against finished drawings, rather than ordering early and adjusting on site.
Our own crews install it. There is no handoff between a cabinetry dealer, an installer and a builder, which is precisely where responsibility usually goes missing.
You cannot buy Dura Supreme cabinetry from us and take it away. It is specified as part of a project we design and build, in the context of the room it is going into, and installed by the people who drew it.
If you want cabinetry supplied only, a dedicated dealer is the better fit and we will point you toward one. We are the right firm when the room is being rebuilt around it.

An American cabinetry manufacturer founded in 1954, building made-to-order cabinetry in Howard Lake, Minnesota. Family-founded and family-run for most of its history, and now part of a larger American cabinetry group.
What is the difference between Crestwood and Bria?
Crestwood is traditional framed construction, which suits the period houses that make up most of our work. Bria is frameless, or full-access, inspired by European cabinet-making: more usable interior space and a cleaner face. We recommend based on the house.
Can I see it before I commit?
Yes. Doors, finishes and interior fittings are in our design studio in person. This is the one part of the process we ask clients not to do remotely.
Is it made in America?
It is manufactured in Howard Lake, Minnesota, in a facility of more than 200,000 square feet.
Can I buy the cabinetry from you without the renovation?
No. We specify and install Dura Supreme as part of projects we design and build. For supply-only, a dedicated dealer will serve you better.
Does the cabinetry carry a warranty?
Dura Supreme provides its own manufacturer warranty on the cabinetry. Our workmanship, including the installation, carries a separate five-year warranty from us.
