Our Design Process

Every remodeling project at Maxwell Building Services begins with thoughtful planning and collaboration. Our interior design team works closely with homeowners to develop a clear vision for the space before construction begins. To support this process, each project includes a base amount of design hours dedicated to planning, selections, and creating visual renderings.

1. Initial Consultation
We begin by meeting with you to understand your goals for the space. During this conversation we discuss layout ideas, functionality, style preferences, and any inspiration you may have. This allows our team to start shaping a design direction that fits both your vision and your home.
2. Space Planning & Layout Development
Our design team evaluates the existing space and begins developing layout options. This stage focuses on improving flow, functionality, and how the space will be used day to day. For kitchens, bathrooms, and other major remodels, this may include cabinet layouts, appliance placement, and structural considerations.

3. Design Selections
Once the layout is established, we guide you through the selection process. This includes materials such as cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures, finishes, and other design elements. Our team helps coordinate these selections so everything works together cohesively.
4. Digital Renderings & Visualizations
To help you visualize the finished space, we create digital design renderings of your project. These renderings allow you to see how the layout, materials, and finishes will look together before construction begins. This step helps ensure you feel confident in the final design.
5. Design Review & Finalization
We review the design with you and make any necessary adjustments. Once everything is finalized, the project moves forward into the construction phase with a clear plan in place.

Included Design Hours

Each project includes a base amount of design hours to complete the planning and rendering process. Larger or more complex projects may require additional design development or revisions. If additional design time is needed, it can be arranged to ensure every detail of the project is properly planned.
